Frequently Asked Questions - Fostering means looking after children or young people in your own home for either short or long term placements, or for periods of respite, whilst their families are unable to provide care for them.
Our Foster Carer Support - All Safehouses foster carers receive regular support on both a formal and informal basis. Every carer has a Supervising Social Worker who visits regularly and provides monthly formal supervision.
Educational Support - The National Teaching & Advisory Service (NT&AS) for Looked After Children and Children in Need is a national education organisation committed to the inclusion of Looked After Children within mainstream education. NT&AS has established a flexible, high quality education casework service designed to support those children/young people who may be referred to them.
Foster Care Training - Our training events are usually held at Safehouses North offices or in the Saddleworth area.

What Safehouses Offers - As an agency, Safehouses aims to work very much in partnership with local authorities in order to provide a wide range of placement provision and to extend the options available for Looked After Children.
